Haydn's Surprise Project

Step 1: Read Biography on Haydn and Answer Worksheet Questions

See Miss Strock in class for a print out copy of the biography article and question worksheet. A printable copy is available through the button link to the right if you were absent in class. Complete and Turn In to Miss Strock by the calendar date.

Step 2: Watch the EdPuzzle on how to read Treble Clef Note Names and Complete the Practice Worksheet and Game.

View the EdPuzzle (if you haven't already) using the link button on the right to learn/review how to read Treble Clef Note Names. See Miss Strock in class for a print out copy of the note name worksheet. A printable copy is available at the links to the right if you were absent in class. Complete and Turn In to Miss Strock by the calendar date.

If you finish early in class try out this note name reading game here with video instructions on how to adjust the settings. Try to see how many notes you can get right in Challenge Mode!

Mastery Goal is 20 Notes in 2 Minutes with an 80% or higher score!

Step 3: Participate in Class Experiment and Listening Activity

Participate in the listening activity in class. See Miss Strock if you were absent for a summary of concepts covered in class.

Step 4: View the How to Use Soundation and Begin Creating your own Surprise Composition.

View the EdPuzzles via the button links below in Step order to explore how to use Soundation software and to begin creating your own surprise piece. This introductory project will who you how to use the program. Feel free to experiment in each step and create some thing that you like within the limits of what the program can offer.

It is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that you have Soundation open in another Google tab while you are working through these videos to try things. It is also HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that you complete each step one at a time as you complete each video. Trying to do it all at the end instead of one step at a time will be overwhelming and might lead to steps being skipped.

Step 7: Double check your project against the Rubric, Make any last Changes, then view the EdPuzzle for Portfolio Turn In Instructions.

Double check your project against the rubric and ask yourself "Does this stand up to the descriptions in the (4) Mastery column?" If the answer is no, consider going back and making revisions. When ready then view the EdPuzzle to the right on how to turn in your project to your Online Music Portfolio. Complete by following these instructions to turn in your project.

*Note: Music Portfolio Blogs were created in class. If you do not have one yet see Miss Strock BEFORE you do anything with this step. Thank you!!!*
