EGM Unit 6
Goals for this Unit:​
- Continue to reinforce proper guitar hold and hand position
- Reinforce playing combinations of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd String Notes on the guitar (E, F, G, B, C, D, G, and A) as well as quarter, half, dotted half, and whole note rhythms. Students will be able to combine these notes with new concepts introduced in this unit.
- Further reinforcement of notes 3/4 time (3 beats per measure) and the dotted half note rhythm.
- Introduction of the 1-finger chords C, G7, and G on the first 3 strings of the guitar. Students will learn to read, count, play, and compose with these concepts in conjunction with previously taught rhythm concepts.
