EGM Unit 19
Goals for this Unit:​
- Continue to reinforce proper guitar hold and hand position
- Reinforce playing combinations of the notes on all 6 Strings on the guitar in first position (1st Fret) as well as eighth, quarter, dotted quarter, half, dotted half, and whole note rhythms. Students will also be able to interpret and apply sharp, flat, and natural signs to reading skills. Students will be able to combine these things with new concepts introduced in this unit.
- Introduction of reading Guitar Tab. Students will be able to read, play, and compose in TAB by the end of this unit, as well as make connections between traditional and Tab music notation systems.
Concept Songs: None- Each song is meant to be an individual introduction to reading TAB notation in various styles.
